FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you have a shop?
We have an office based in Chelsea, London. Please note that we receive customers by appointment only.
 
Do you make custom jewellery?
A big part of our business is based on creating bespoke pieces for our customers. We would love to discuss your future jewellery projects further.
 
Do you work with clients remotely?
Yes we offer video call and phone consultations. Many of our clients are not based in London and we go through the bespoke design process together. We are just as available to answer your questions by phone and email as we would be face to face.
 
Do you ship jewellery abroad?
We can ship your new jewellery through Royal Mail Special Delivery in the United-Kingdom. And for international shipping we use tracked DHL international. Like this you do not have to travel to the showroom to collect your piece.
 
How long does it take to make a Bespoke Jewellery piece?
It depends on the level of technique and design steps required to finish the piece. We generally recommend a lead time of 6-8 weeks.
 
Where is your jewellery made?
All our jewellery is made in the United-Kingdom. The workshop is based in Hatton Garden, London’s famous jewellery quarter, where our artisans make, set, polish and engrave.
 
Can you use my Heirloom Jewellery, Gemstones or Gold in a new piece? 
Yes, we can redesign or repair your long-loved heirloom jewellery. We can also re-use the materials and create a whole new bespoke piece.
 
I already have some gemstones, would be able to set it in a new jewellery piece? 
We mostly re-work heirloom jewellery and their materials and gemstones. Other than that we would work with gemstones we have sourced ourselves to guarantee quality and provenance.
 
How do I get a quote?
Please email us a brief with some reference images/mood board and any other specifications to info@stapyltonsmith.com and we will get back to you in the next few days.
 
Can you resize my ring? 
All our rings we create come with one free resize when you purchase it. Resizing takes around 2 weeks to process. 
 
Can I return a Bespoke or Made-to-order piece?
All Bespoke and Made to Order jewellery sales are final. They are not returnable due to the custom nature of the sale.
 
Can you repair my Stapylton-Smith Jewellery?
Yes of course if it falls within our conditions of limited lifetime warranty. 
 
Do you have a minimum spend for bespoke jewellery?
For bespoke engagement rings and other projects, we have a minimum spend of £2000.
 
How do I figure out my ring size? 
You can schedule an appointment with us so that we can measure your finger in person. If you are busy or abroad you can use out printable guide for estimating your finger size. If you are ordering or commissioning a ring for your partner which they are unaware of, we can help you estimate an appropriate size, and we then offer one free complimentary resize post-proposal so that your piece fits them perfectly.
